  • PROTOTYPE Exhibition Opening

I’ve put up a Flickr photoset with a few photos from last night’s opening party for the “PROTOTYPE” exhibition. It was so crowded — and I ended up chatting so much — that I didn’t get to take as many as I wanted. Be sure to find out more about participating designers at the event’s…

  • PauseTalk Tonight

Tonight (December 3) is this month’s edition (Vol. 16) of PauseTalk at Cafe Pause, with the usual start time of 19:30. Things will be back to normal following last month’s special edition — which I admit was more an evening of presentations compared to the regular talk format. Looking forward to it!

  • Tokyo Taxi Fare Hike

I already felt taxi prices were high in Tokyo, and now this: “Taxi fares were increased Monday in Tokyo and Kanagawa Prefecture. The first price increase since April 1997 raised the flag-down fare for the first 2 kilometers to 710 yen from the current 660 yen.” Via Japan Today.

  • Cafe Pause Poster Series

Instead of having an empty signboard at the entrance of Cafe Pause, I decided to start a seasonal poster series. First up, a contribution from Tokyo-based graphic designer Ian Lynam. Below is a better look at the poster. Thanks, Ian!
