New McDonald’s

I was walking around Ikebukuro on Saturday and noticed that one of the McDonald’s in the area was closed for renewal (re-opens May 5th). I took a picture of the poster in front that showed the new design. Sort of looks like a 50s sci-fi design, something that you would see on the JETSONS. McDonald’s hasn’t been doing well in the Japanese market this past year, and so they’re trying lots of new things to regain those lost sales. In addition to these new design-centric stores (they will go by the name of Dining Mac), they’re also about to introduce some new menu items, including a new tofu burger.
