Another great Tokyo film festival to take in:
Established one step ahead of the film industry’s digitalization process, this international film festival is being held for the third time this year. Admitted to the competition are films that were shot, edited, and can be screened in digital format. Shown in the feature film section of this event are 12 nominated titles selected out of a pool of 283 entries. Next to “The Summer of Stikleback (Hariyo no natsu)” by Japanese directore Nakamura Mayu, contributions from Turkey, Sweden, Argentina, the Czech Republic, and other countries make the festival an exclusive occasion to see films by a number of young international talents. The judging board in the category of feature films is headed by Richard Jobson, the producer of “Tube Tales”, while Takashima Masanobu presides the jury in the short film division. (REALTOKYO)
The event takes place at Skip City in Saitama, July 15-23, and you get more scheduling info from the official event site.
