Xbox 360 Launch Party

The Xbox 360 launch is today, and Kotaku has a few pics from last night’s launch party at the Aoyama Xbox Lounge. Yuko was just telling me that they’re reporting huge line-ups at game shops for the system, so looks like this launch is at least going to beat the last Xbox’s rollout.

Update: I’ve been wondering whether the Xbox 360 would be region-free (there were rumors), and this site reports that although the console itself is not region-free, many games will be. I really do wish that all consoles would do like the DS and PSP and simply forego with region protection.
