Ne Ne Momoko

Last time Jesper (Our Man in Sweden) was in town, he kept talking about this Swedish band called Nic & The Family, and he had promos for a song they sing in Japanese called “Ne Ne Momoko” (the original song in Swedish is called “Hej Hej Monica”). Today I received an email from someone mentioning that he found the TSiG blog (currently on hiatus) after a search for said band — here’s a link to the post. He pointed out that some coworkers were so hooked on the song that they actually started up a community for it on Mixi. Is this the start of Nic & The Family mania in Japan?
