Another album I’ve been enjoying these past few days is a new compilation of remixes of the classic (I guess they’ve been together for 25 years, but I’d never heard of them) Japanese rock’n’roll band Sheena & the Rokkets. It’s called ELECTROKKETS, and as the title suggests, the tracks are all electronic mixes of their songs done by the likes of Ken Ishii, Fantastic Plastic Machine, Okamura Yasuyuki, and Hosono Haruomi, to name a few. You can listen to some of the tracks here, as well as watch a video clip featuring a bunch of the tracks from the album. I cannot stop listening to the Chester Beatty mix of “Sweet Inspiration.” A big thanks to Patrick for finding and sharing this.
