Music Week

I got an email a few weeks ago asking for Japanese music recommendations, and the person who wrote was saying that I don’t seem to talk about music a lot on the site. That’s strange, as I’m constantly seeking sounds, and constantly enjoying them. I must say that after a few years of almost full Japanese music immersion, I’ve been in a rather non-Japanese indie rock phase for the past few months, which is not to say that I don’t still enjoy listening to new stuff coming out here (a lot of it courtesy of Patrick, who runs the most excellent Tokyo Record Hunting Service). Well, the point of this post is to announce that I’ll be doing a sort of music week thing next week, which will basically me posting everyday about a Japanese release I’ve been enjoying recently. Hope it helps out those of you looking for some things to explore outside of the realm of J-pop.
