I’ve been officially involved with the PechaKucha Night organization (and its founders Astrid Klein and Mark Dytham) from the start of 1999, by first getting involved in its web presence (contributing content), to eventually running the series in Tokyo (and its special one-off events), and to the role of Executive Director, before leaving in March of 2015 (to move back to Canada). After a bit of hiatus (but while still promoting the use of the format where I worked), I was reconnected to the HQ when I moved to Shanghai, bringing back that series to life with George Lobo with a first event in March of 2022 (the series had been dormant since 2019).
