Epson Color Imaging Contest 2006
Earlier this week, I stopped by Spiral in Aoyama to have a look at the “Epson Color Imaging Contest 2006” (it’s now over). Judges for the contest included Shinya Fujiwara, Daido Moriyama, and Taku Sato. There was a rather nice collection of work on display, including some attractive books.

Ooito and Th’ Rezidents Invade Cafe Pause
Today marks the start of Huschang and Sonia‘s Ooito and Th’ Rezidents exhibition at Cafe Pause (until December 24), and so I’ve put up a Flickr photoset of a few shots I took tonight. As the exhibition will be held in two phases — read about it here — I’ll add more photos to the…

PauseTalk 6
Last night saw another great turnout for PauseTalk, with me managing to get through it despite my cold (I didn’t have much of a voice by the end though). We discussed the wiki project — the wiki is online, but I haven’t made it public yet, but this should happen soon enough — and also…

The show runs until December 3, with an artist reception being held November 25, from 19:00. You’ll notice some of the puzzles in the shots that I mentioned a while back,…

The End of Nudie Cafe
All good things must come to an end, and so it did for the “Nudie Cafe” event at Cafe Pause. Even though it was a hectic few weeks, I can honestly say that I’m already looking forward to whatever we’ll end up doing next year.

The Nudie Party That Was
I’ve put up a Flickr photoset of shots from last night’s “Nudie Party” at Cafe Pause, which marked the end of our “Nudie Cafe” event. The place was packed — it was so hard to move inside that people were spilling out on the street, even attracting attention from the police — and for the…

The Road to Design
On the last day of Tokyo Design Week, Yuko accompanied me at the Jingu-Gaien grounds for a last look at Tokyo Designer’s Week/100% Design Tokyo. Here she is, sitting on the road that led to where the event was being held.
