Jean Snow, a Tokyo-based writer, is the gallery manager of Cafe Pause (access), and produces events and parties there as well. The cafe is also home to the PauseTalk series of monthly talk events, aiming to create a forum where Tokyo-based creatives can get together and discuss their own projects, as well as cultural currents of the city.

The cafe has its own site, and its own blog as well (in Japanese).

Rythm of the Composition

The next exhibition at the cafe will feature new works by artist Hiroaki Koshiba. “Rythm of the Composition” will run for 2 weeks, August 14-27, with a live-painting session and party to take place August 19 (from 19:00).

Yes, Channing Kennedy, Cornelius remixer and Digiki collaborator of MC Cat Genius / Cat Jams Label fame, will be accompanying Hiro’s live painting with a half-hour video featuring psych-folkers Jerusalem & the Starbaskets (who have worked with Hiro before in a variety of presences).

    Don’t forget it.
