PauseTalk Update
Monday, July 31st, 2006I have just updated the PauseTalk site with a (much requested) complete list of attendees at the edition we had earlier this month (Vol. 2), as well as the proposed theme for next month’s edition (which will be held on the third Monday, August 21). Also, I’m about to launch a PauseTalk mailing list, to keep participants updated on all future PauseTalk happenings.

This week at Cafe Pause we have an exhibition by artists Kazaho Setsu and Nikiniki called “Happy Time” (until July 30). Postcards — which you can see here and here — are sold for 150 yen.

The tilt shift lens photography (or imitation thereof) madness continues, with this contribution from David Macklem, one of our PauseTalk participants, who remixed an old picture I had taken of Cafe Pause. I quite like the result.
It’s Our Thing at Cafe Pause

Starting today, we have an exhibition at Cafe Pause of Swedish designer PMKFA’s new line of t-shirts, “It’s Our Thing.” All tees, as well as sweatshirts and bags, are for sale at the cafe, and we will be celebrating with a party this coming Saturday, July 1, 19:00-22:00. All drinks and snacks will be 500 yen, and expect some PMKFA visuals to be projected, so come join us! Here’s a small photoset of a few pics taken today at the cafe.

Cafe Pause has some new chairs. If you’re interested in the design, I believe the designer, Koji Kimura, has shown interest in coming to the next PauseTalk.
