I’m very happy to announce that this coming Friday (August 17) we will be hosting a live performance by Singapore’s The Analog Girl at Cafe Pause. This is not her first appearance in Japan, she performed at the Soso Cafe in Sapporo a few years ago, but it will be her first show in Tokyo. So if you haven’t gone out of town during the summer break, come down for a chilled-out cafe live — entry will be free (regular cafe operations, so drink purchase required), with her 30-minute set starting at 21:00. Here’s some more info:
When Nike Europe sought for a new kind of sound to accompany their retail campaign, they chose The Analog Girl’s heady mix of dreamy, edgy and futuristic electro-rock. She’s taken her music to such legendary venues as The Knitting Factory in New York City, The Spitz in London, Cirque Electrique in Paris, Soso Art Cafe in Japan and The Esplanade in Singapore. She has also played at SHOWstudio’s REVUE, a special event produced by Nick Knight’s creative studio held in conjunction with Sony’s Playstation 3 launch in the U.K. And now following the success of her debut album The TV Is On, 2007 sees the release of her brand new EP “Sometime Next Galaxy†under New York based label Roji Music. Dubbed by critics the world over as a young Yoko Ono and Bjork, The Analog Girl is fast becoming one of tomorrow’s brightest stars to rock a different sound, and she is extremely excited to be performing her new material at Cafe Pause in Tokyo this summer!
