The new issue of ART iT (7) is now out on newsstands.
Among the items that feature Yamaguchi Sayoko on the cover there are quite a lot of masterpieces (like Steely Dan’s “Aja” album for example), and with a rewarding all-genre special this newest issue of ART iT is certainly one of them. The genre-crossing selection of a total of 180 creators “with the jolt factor”, together with lists of outstanding venues and books hints at Tokyo’s current cultural life. There are a couple of other rare images such as Maijo Otaro’s self-portrait (?), but the standout feature in terms of visual impact is definitely Tsumura Kosuke’s new series “Fantasy Mode to Order” in which the aforementioned Yamaguchi Sayoko appears. Worth a mention are also the Yokohama Triennale report, interviews with Kawamata Tadashi, Hiro Sugiyama and Towa Tei… and a whole lot more… (REALTOKYO)
I’m going to go pick it up right now at Junkudo.
