If you’ve been looking for an opportunity to meet artist Mark Borthwick…
Here comes another noteworthy exhibition at one of the new cultural epicenters in Ebisu, the gallery “treesaresospecial”. The featured artist this time is New York-based photographer Marik Borthwick, who is known in Japan especially for collaborations with the likes of Martin Margiela and Susan Cianciolo. Borthwick creates a site-specific installation that includes next to his photographs also texts, drawings and plants. The central element however is the artist himself, as Borthwick has reportedly set up camp in the gallery where he will be staying for the duration of the show. So, in all probability a visit to the gallery will involve a meeting with Mark Borthwick in person. (REALTOKYO)
It’s happening at Ebisu’s Treesaresospecial until May 8.
