PauseTalk Vol. 94

This was originally posted on the PauseTalk website.

PauseTalk Vol. 94 was held at Bananafish New HQ on Thursday, January 23, just ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday, which might explain why we were a smaller group than recent sessions. But as is usually the case when you have a smaller group, it gives you the opportunity to get to know everyone that much more, which was enhanced this time by the use of prompt cards from Today Well Spent, which added some deeper questioning within the group. Other topics discussed included the general downward trend in the creative industries (affecting employment), what contributed to bringing us all to Shanghai, and lastly, highlighting some of what keeps us here.

Below, the list of participants:

  • Carlos Avalos (Car Designer/Studio Founder)
  • Eliza Lin (Graphic Design Manager)
  • George Hubert (Designer)
  • Ilya KKNN (UI/UX, all things design)
  • Jean Snow (Game Developer)
  • Paul Copeland (Creative Director)
  • Violet (Bookstore Employee)

What’s next? Vol. 95 should normally happen sometime in March – I’ll share the details here once the date is confirmed. For more updates, you can join the WeChat group (contact me to be added).
