Having watched this, I’m still not quite sure to what level I enjoyed it. I mean, I didn’t dislike it, and I was entertained enough throughout. But there’s something off, sometimes it’s the cheesiness of it — the satire of the Googleplex feels lazy — sometimes it’s just that what happens feels too obvious. Hanks feels wasted, and Watson is fine but I don’t find her performance to be particularly great or inspiring. I liked Karen Gillan a lot at the start, but later on, her burnout feels overly dramatic. So yeah, I somehow didn’t mind watching it, but didn’t come out of with super positive thoughts.
