I haven’t been updating my Debaser diary with all of the movies I’ve continued to watch as part of my 1985 movie watching marathon, but I have been watching lots (26 and counting), and so time to catch up. Unlike Friday the 13th: A New Beginning (aka part 5), which was pretty much straight up a comedy, A Nightmare on Elm Street 2 tries to keep to the creepy, but it already starts getting a bit too over the top with things — Freddy with his one-liners, instead of just being a super creepy entity — and so it can’t be taken as a serious horror movie. But it was sorta fun to watch for the nostalgia.
