Sing Street

I watched this last night on Netflix, and it’s absolutely one of my fave movies of the year. Set in 80s Dublin, it’s sorta a basic boy-loves-girl-creates-a-band-to-impress-her kinda thing, but so well done, and the soundtrack throughout – both the known songs and the ones that were written for the movie’s band to perform – is outstanding. Can’t recommend it enough, such an enjoyable film to watch. It’s by the director of Once, another fantastic music-heavy film you should watch.
