The Wii U may be underpowered when compared to PS4/X1, but you sure couldn’t tell when playing through Yoshi’s Wooly World. One of the most beautiful games I’ve seen in action, the mix of wooly art direction with a color palette that is joyous beyond belief makes for such a fun experience. Put all that on top of an extremely solid platformer – although rather easy at first (the challenge is not in finishing a level but in completing it fully), it does get a bit more challenging as it moves along – and you’ve got something really special. I love this game to bits, and wouldn’t mind seeing more “wooly” games in the future (and yes, I now do feel the need to go back and play Kirby’s Epic Yarn on Wii).
