Nioh (Alpha Demo)

Even though I’m playing Dark Souls III right now, I’m not really that into the series (it kicks my ass so hard), but I was really curious about Nioh, Koei Tecmo’s attempt at a Dark Souls-like game. I dig the feudal Japan setting, and the combat system is interesting and different enough from the DS games – I like the idea of choosing different stances, and while in combat, after you’ve locked on to an enemy, it does feel more samurai-like in terms of movement than what you see in other games (especially while running around). That said, I probably died over a hundred times while playing, and I didn’t even face a boss character. I’m not quite sure if I’d end up wanting to get the full game when it comes out, but from playing this demo, it has piqued my interest.
