One of my good friends from back home, photographer and university professor Julie Forgues, is in town for a month doing a residency at 3331 Arts Chiyoda. She’s looking for some help for the “landscapes” project that she’s working on, and so if you’re interested in helping, take a look at the details below and get in touch with her.
Here are the steps to take for anyone who wants to participate:
Have a look at my website to get a grip of what my thematics are: http://cargocollective.com/monpunctumca/2012-IN-PROGRESS-EN-COURS
Grasp the underpinning of my work based on two main ideas:
- culture + nature = landscape
- one can determine/understand a culture just by viewing the landscape
The questions for anyone who would like to participate:
Where, either in Tokyo or outside of the city, is a “landscape” that would represent, for you, the interconnection of “culture and nature”?
Send me a maps.google link of this particular place so I can then go and photograph it. Send me an explanation of why this is a “landscape”? How does this place, if viewed by anyone, can be seen and understood as a Japanese landscape? Send responses in English, French or Japanese to monpunctum@gmail.com
