Commenting Down

It appears that commenting on the site is not quite working right now, and I can’t really figure out why. Thanks to everyone for letting me know about the problem, I’m trying to fix it.

Update: Well, I can’t figure out what the hell the problem is. I’ve re-installed WordPress, tried downgrading, switched themes, and it doesn’t change anything — commenting just doesn’t work anymore. Seems like it relates to comment IDs or something — it doesn’t assign them anymore — but I can’t see what I need to fix.

Update 2: Thanks to my friend Patrick, it looks like we’ve found the problem: some sort of crash in the database, or more specifically with the comments table. Will try to fix that and get everything up and running again.

Update 3: And it’s fixed.
