38. That was the attendance for last night’s PauseTalk (Vol. 29), and I’m still not quite sure how it happened. I usually get an average of 15-20 attendees at each edition, which is a nice number — remember, PT is meant to be a salon-like event. The huge crowd also meant that for the first time we couldn’t fit everyone around the center tables, and had to have “back rows.” Amazingly, it still worked, and I think everyone there was still able to participate and chime in on the discussion if they felt like it.
Below, a very partial list of attendees — apologies, I just wasn’t able to talk to everyone and get their names (I’ll happily add you to the list if you get in touch with me). The next edition happens April 6.

Hello, for future PT events, is it possible to record and post the events in podcast format?
thanks.
By Jean Snow March 3, 2009 - 9:04 am
Technically, this wouldn’t be possible — I just don’t have the recording equipment that would be necessary to record such a large group (even when it’s a regular 15-20 people meetup).

I don’t know if you want to stoop to this level, but if you take one of those IC recorders, like the pen size panasonic one I have, and put it in the middle of a room, it will pickup everything, however, its not great quality, just a ducktape-type remedy

Shame there weren’t more girls!

An IC in the middle would not be able to pick up everyone.
Marie, you’re my superstar.
Paul, there were actually a lot of girls there, I just didn’t get all their names. If you’re basing on the photo, you can’t see one side of the table, as well as people who were standing up around and in the entrance area.

Wahey, I took that photo!
I think we did alright covering this historic event. Good move chucking the camera out there, even though only a few of us actually picked it up.
Sorry about all the dark photos in the middle of the batch. Unfamiliar camera n all!

Oh, nice, thanks! Yeah, I have lots of photos which is great (I’ll probably put a bunch on the Facebook group). I’ll definitely be offering up my camera in the future as well.
For those who weren’t there, because I haven’t had photos from recent events — and I can’t take any because I’m hosting — I put my camera on the table and asked anyone who was interested to pick it up throughout the evening and take shots.
