IKEA Takes Over Train

Wow! In order to promote the upcoming opening of their new store at Port Island in Kobe, IKEA has turned the Kobe Portliner Monorail into a showroom. Via Pink Tentacle.

    personally think it looks horrid though. hehe.

    there was an art project in korea a few years ago that invited artists to decorate trains as they wished to commemorate opening a new train line. can’t seem to find pics anymore though..

  3. Yes, IKEA returned to Japan 1-2 years ago. They have two stores around Tokyo, one in Funabashi and one near Yokohama. Here’s the Japanese site.
