there was an art project in korea a few years ago that invited artists to decorate trains as they wished to commemorate opening a new train line. can’t seem to find pics anymore though..

Yes, IKEA returned to Japan 1-2 years ago. They have two stores around Tokyo, one in Funabashi and one near Yokohama. Here’s the Japanese site.
