Tokyo Camouflage

A reader sent me a link to this article, and I’m having trouble believing THE NEW YORK TIMES would publish something like this. Camouflage vending machine costumes? Come on, this is fodder for tabloids or even THE ONION.

  1. I’m glad you feel the same way. I had a post chastising Martin Fackler but I shelved it because it depressed me.

    I may write it anyway.

  4. The article was reprinted on the front page of the International Herald Tribune in Tokyo today. Reminds me of the old days, when the New York Times would print dreck and the Japan hands would damn them as - was it Spangerisms? - after the worst offender.
