Odd MUJI Fonts

The image you see above has been used in some messages from MUJI — from their mailing list — and I find the use of font quite strange. They keep the traditional MUJI color, but the font just feels out of place, and old. This is not the first time I see it used, but its always limited to announcements that relate to their webstore.

Update: I walked by one of the MUJI stores in Ikebukuro earlier today, and they use the same font on a big poster in the outside window.
