Onitsuka Tiger Rakugaki

I’ve been thinking it’s time for a new pair of sneakers, and I’ve found the ones I need! From their new fall/winter collection, Onitsuka Tiger introduces a few rakugaki (scribbled) versions of some of their classics. Also worth playing around with is the interactive origami program created by paper artist superstar Shin Tanaka on their site. Via Designboom.

Nice! I never did see any around town — but it has to be said that I don’t spend a lot of time checking out sneaker shops.

I haven’t seen any, until a few weeks ago at Marui in Yurakucho, at a sneaker shop on one of the men’s floors. They looked really nice.
