Naked Tokyo: 07 [Portraits]

The Naked Tokyo Collective applies its signature mix of shock and serenity, outrageous tableaux and seductive views, to the art of contemporary portraiture. In considering the theme: Contemporary Portraiture from Tokyo, Naked Tokyo artists were encouraged to explode and expand standard assumptions of portraiture by focusing on self-portraiture, sex, eroticism, and anonymous nudity. This show is anticipated to be highly controversial.

All work is created in 2007 for this exhibition.

This photographic, multi-media exhibition will take place for one day only, May 14th at Tokyo’s premier art and design event space, Super Deluxe in Roppongi. 3-1-25 Nishi Azabu, B1F. One can walk to Super Deluxe from either Roppongi or Nogizaka Stations.

Naked Tokyo is an international collective of photographers who apply their signature aggressive and shocking styles to interpreting this big city, stripping it bare to reveal the Naked Tokyo within.
