This looks cool:
Cinema Angelica and Moving Pictures Japan launch a joint project to support young talents and explore new possibilities focusing on short films. The first step on the way is a screening + market event introducing works by film directors associated with the project. The 16 movies shown here are of an immense variety, ranging from Kawase Naomi’s “Shadow” to Shu Lea Cheang’s “Loveme 2030”. The project aims to create a platform to meet and exchange not only for filmmakers, but also for composers of film music and other individuals involved in the making of movies. Next to market and screenings, the mini live concerts with musicians from some of the soundtracks sound like fun as well. (REALTOKYO)
Screenings take place throughout July. Check the Angelica + MPJ site for more info.
