Well, it’s official, today marked the official opening of the new IKEA Funabashi store. And here’s a tidbit about IKEA’s future plans in Japan:

IKEA has ambitious plans for Japan: 4-6 stores in the Kanto area and 4-6 in the Kansai over the next five years. The second store is scheduled to open in Shin-Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, in September. (Crisscross)
