The Return of Bape Cafe

If you go to the official Bape site, you can download a nice little flash app (works on PCs and Macs) that contains a few Bape-related news items. The biggest thing — and something I was not aware of — is that the Bape Cafe re-opened at a new location last month. It’s now located not far from Bape Cuts and the Baby Milo store in Harajuku. The new cafe is announced on the Wonderwall site (although no pics or project page), so it must be another Masamichi Katayama design. Whatever your feelings on what the clothing brand has become, I did quite like the old cafe (near the Undercover shop), and will definitely be going to the new one next time I’m in the area.

In other Bape news, they’re about to start a new membership program, where purchases will give you points, redeemable for special items (of course).
