Our microwave/oven died last week, and so I replaced it today with Muji’s oven-range. I love the simplicity of it. The buttons, which seem blue-ish in the image, are actually a softer gray. Tested it out earlier and it made a perfect set of toasts.

A white microwave? Black is so much cooler. My white one died a few weeks ago and I replaced it with a black one and it’s so much better. Not in any cooking/heating way. Just aesthetically.
Me and Honda-san have a bet going to see if and when they start making Muji coffins. What a way to go…
It would make the Muji life complete!
Jean… What are you going to do when IKEA opens up here next year! : )
Do the dance of joy. Seriously, I can’t wait. The only thing that sucks is I think it’s going to be out in Chiba or something, so I doubt I’ll visit the store more than once, but at least I’ll be able to order stuff.
Can you cook a pizza in that thing? I have an old microwave that I inherited, one without any convection/cooking type functionality. So what can it do, outside of what a standard (to me) North American microwave can do?
Yes, it can act as an oven/grill, so you can cook a pizza. It makes beautiful golden toast.
Is it available in Europe? Jean, please, use your influence to open a Muji-store in the Netherlands………..
Hahaha… They do have at least one Muji store in Sweden, in Gothenburg, but I have no idea what sort of things they stock.
I’m making Mexican mole poblano in my MUJI oven-range tonight. I’ve just noticed that mine is now an ‘older version’ MUJI oven-range. It looks almost exactly the same. It works great though, 3 years and running…
That’s good to hear (that it seems to last). I also find that it cooks better than the previous oven I had.
Make Mine Muji!
