okay — no offense Anko, but who prices mediocre shirts at 45 pounds? 20 pounds is an improvement, but I’m still not buying it … if the shirts were really “cool,” they would be on demand, and a 65% price reduction would not be necessary …
I’m sorry, yes, I’m being cynical …
I agree, these t-shirts are less than the standard of what I’m used to seeing here on Jean’s webpage. What’s up with this guy’s overpriced so-so designs? (This coming from someone who happens to have the same last name as this dud t-shirt designer.) Jean?
what??! I don’t think you guys have got one of these t shirts have you? Basically you get what you pay for and they’re amazing quality i love mine! I reckon the guy has reduced them cos summer is coming and there might be new designs on the way-which i can’t wait to see. Stop be so arsey guys, read the t shirts they might teach you something ;-)
ok, ok! to each his own. but with their prices and so-so designs, that’s why i thought jean’s post smelled of collusion. i mean, jean has pretty good taste most of the time. anyway, if you are going to plug an online t-shirt shoppe, this one is a lot cooler (and more affordable) http://www.threadless.com/?streetteam=astr0
The reason I put up that post on Anko, as well as the other one to announce the launch, is simply because the guy behind it asked me if I could mention it. Although I don’t care for the tees themselves, I respect what he’s doing, and wanted to help him get some attention.
Posting links on someone else’s site for stores with the purpose of getting points or payment is not good netiquette. It’s considered spamming.

and i say: right. just as long as you keep that in mind!
The Superfuture Superguides are a series of PDF travel guides to some of your favorites cities, updated monthly, and obsessively compiling the best places to shop, eat, and drink. The Tokyo guide is edited by Jean Snow.
Jean Snow is the design/culture editor at Neojaponisme, a web journal covering social and cultural aspects of Japan. Read the manifesto, by founder and chief editor W. David Marx, here.
PauseTalk is a regular series of events that take place at Cafe Pause on the first Monday of every month, with a start time of 20:00. The idea is to create a forum where Tokyo-based creatives can get together and discuss their own projects, as well as cultural currents of the city. The next edition happens May 12.
