The Ongoing Commenting Saga

Well, the commenting system is still having its way with me, and not being very gentle about it. Spam Karma is pretty cool, and does take care of the big attacks I’ve been getting lately, BUT… It’s been a bit overzealous at times, and apologies to those who have seen their comments disappear. It also doesn’t want to play correctly with WP 1.2 — I guess it works very well with 1.3, but the official release of that is not out yet, and upgrading to 1.2.1, which I did as was suggested, did not help. What’s happening is that I’m not getting notifications, which is making it a bitch to respond to comments. I’ve played around with some settings, and just now I got a few notifications, so we’ll see. I mean, it’s ongoing, but it’s getting to be a a pain also. I’m wasting way too much time on this (and you should see the crazy comment spam attacks that the TSiG blog gets). I really hope I can quickly find a nice medium, where spam is controlled, and I can keep up with what’s legitimately being said on this site. Of course, apologies for the inconvenience this is causing.

And now I’m off to the Bic Camera electronic store to see if I can get my hands on a Nintendo DS and the TOUCH! MADE IN WARIO game…
